Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition ServiceThe Bias Inside Us Online Exhibition
Visit ProjectBuilding on their successful collaboration on The Bias Inside Us Exhibition, The Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) once again turned to Night Kitchen Interactive to adapt their work into what would become an award-winning online exhibition.
This project seeks to reach a broad digital audience and dive deeper through additional interpretive commentary, animations, flip card interactives, and reflection activities. Building upon the traveling exhibition's established visual style, Night Kitchen produced a vibrant, dynamic website packed with media, micro-interactions, and opportunities for visitor engagement. In addition to producing over 30 brand-new animations, six interpretive audio clips, and a new kinetic typography animation, we integrated over a dozen animations, videos, and gamified interactives that were originally produced as installations for The Bias Inside Us Traveling Exhibition.
The Bias Inside Us seeks to build a satisfying, engaging user experience that motivates and informs visitors, inspiring them to learn more about the content and themselves in the process. This highly-accessible, mobile-responsive online exhibition appeals to a wide general userbase, targeting all individuals who are interested in self-analysis and reflection.
